Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience in any specific field for the retreat?

No prior experience is required to participate in all aspects of the retreat.

Our yoga sessions and excursions are designed to accommodate your personal level of comfort and fitness. 

We do encourage you to move at your own pace, as you know your body best. 

Participation is encouraged, yet optional.

What is and what isn’t included in the price of a retreat?

All inclusions are detailed on the page for each retreat. Our retreat package includes all accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner on the arrival day and the following days of retreat. Scheduled spa treatments. Transportation to cultural events and excursions government taxes. Airport transfers.

Not included: Airfares, travel insurance, airport transfers, laundry, personal extra spa treatments (outside of scheduled retreat treatments), alcohol, medical expenses and other extra personal expenses.


Are there any extra activities besides the retreat that I can participate in?

Our events co-ordinator, Diane, is happy to help you design your journey by offering options for extra accomodation, activities and tours after the retreat. Please send Diane an email.

Outside of the retreat days, you have free days to explore and experience the many cultural wonders of the location we are in. 

The resort staff are happy to assist you in organising activities, transportation and tours that you may wish to participate in at a very reasonable rate.

Do the retreats always take place?

In the unlikely event of the retreat being cancelled, you will be given 40 days notice and offered the choice between a full refund of all monies paid or the possibility to transfer your funds over to our next retreat.

To be used within 12 months of the original retreat date.

What happens if I have booked my place and then have to cancel attending the retreat?

We do not offer refunds on the deposit.

A portion of your payment may be used as a credit for another retreat within 12 months of the original retreat date. *Subject to availability for upcoming retreats. 

Depending on when you cancel; cancellation fees apply.

Fees are determined by the following schedule:

  • For cancellations made more than 60 days prior to retreat start date; the balance of payment may be applied to another upcoming retreat within 12 months (excluding your deposit)

  • For cancellations 100% of your deposit is non-refundable.

  • If you cancel 45 days or less before your retreat start date, the entire payment is non-refundable.

  • Exceptions to our policy are only available by application.

  • We do not offer credit for arriving late or leaving early.

  • There are no partial refunds for any services not used while on retreat.

Is it possible to stay extra nights prior or after the retreat?

Yes, this can be organised by prior arrangement. 

Do not hesitate to call on Diane, she is happy to assist you with extended stays. 

Be advised that you will be billed separately in advance for your extended stay outside of the retreat dates to guarantee your room at our special rate.

How do I pay for the retreat?

The available payment options are;

  • EARLY BIRD payment is to be made upfront.

  • Non early bird booking deposit is non-refundable (specified details on each individual retreat page)

  • You will receive a link to all banking details in the booking confirmation email.

  • PayPal is available on request.

Please follow the instructions to make your deposit and further payments.

You may also make your payment by direct bank transfer.

It is very safe and easy -  our banking institutions are in Australia and the USA.

I am pregnant – can I still join?

Yes, you and baby (within:) are warmly welcomed to join us.

Please ensure that you have permission from your doctor to travel.

We recommend that you have the appropriate travel insurance to cover your stay and exercise your own discretion regarding participation in both retreat activities and excursions.

Do I need to bring anything special?

We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes or sandals with straps.

Remember that Bali, Mauritius and Reunion all have a tropical climate; therefore, there is no need to bring much warm clothing.

We suggest light and breathable garments (cotton, linen or silk). Absolutely essential is your swimsuit, sunscreen, sun hat, toiletries and insect repellent. Australia and Italy have very similar climates though we advise checking before you pack. Any other personal home comforts you want - e.g some of us really like our own pillow, special pen, personal journal etc.  

Although less is best.

Which airport do I need to arrive?

You will be advised on the retreat page of your choice for the nearest airport to our resort.

Do I need a visa?

Please be advised that some passport holders may require a visa prior to travel.

We advise you to refer to the current visa requirements.



What kind of food do you offer?

We offer a range of fresh cuisine; Indonesian meals, Western style meals, Vegetarian, Pesco-vegetatrian and Gluten-free meals.

*It is essential that you advise us of your dietary requirement at least 3 weeks prior to arrival.

This allows us time to ensure that your requests are best catered for.

Is there any internet connection available at the resort?

There is Wi-Fi available throughout the resort. However, be aware that the quality of network varies from that which you may be accustomed to at home. 

What is the local currency? 

Most countries we use have international ATM facilities.

We can advise you of the local currency. We suggest using the currency converter app on your phone for daily exchange rates.

What if I’m travelling alone?

Many of our guests have enjoyed the experience of coming to our retreats alone.

Accommodation is suitable for single or double occupancy. This can be arranged to suit your needs and budget.

You may arrive alone, be assured that you may leave with many new friends.

What kind of credit card accepted?

MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit and debit cards are all accepted at our chosen resorts.
